As part of the International Marketing team, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall e-commerce analytics strategy, process, and organization which deliver information, insight, and recommendations to monitor, measure, and optimize the online business. This position will provide leadership, strategy and execution in the analysis of all website and online marketing activities including; supervising data collection, developing tools and techniques for performance tracking and measurement, reporting of key performance indicators, providing quantifiable recommendations for site and marketing campaign optimization, and ad-hoc analysis as needed. Key to this role is the ability to provide data-driven insights which result in specific action plans and quantifiable business improvement.
Develop online analytics and business intelligence strategy through alignment of performance metrics, analytics structure and reporting process with overall business objectives.
Generate reports from external and internal data sources, creating actionable trend information, and ensuring that internal team members have the information necessary to make informed business, marketing, and merchandising decisions.
Manage implementation, maintenance and improvement of Web Analytics System (Omniture Site Catalyst and Test & Target)
Set up and automate dashboards for key performance indicators via Business Objects XI business intelligence software.
Collaborate closely with International Marketing E-commerce management team.
Create and foster direction in strategic analytics & metrics.
Oversee development, maintenance and enhancement of analytics tools to improve overall web channel productivity.
Acquire full understanding of site developers to ensure that all sites are tagged and tracking correctly.
Create and distribute regularly scheduled web reports including monthly traffic metrics.
Develop ad-hoc web reports for internal clients.
Define key metrics to measure website performance, construct tracking dashboards and maintain general reporting structure.
Identify and report on all website and online marketing Key Performance Indicators.
Develop state of the art approaches to analyze online customer behavior, traffic flow, customer profiles, browse behavior, content effectiveness, etc.
Provide guidance and best practices expertise to key business partners around scoping, designing, executing, and analyzing customer behavioral tests (e.g., A/B testing, testing for statistical significance).
Handle all tracking and reporting on web analytics, email for advertising, and consumer marketing functions.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve site effectiveness.
Proactively recommend analytic methods to improve the business results.
Support web marketing director with various tasks as required.
Job Requirements and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or other related fields with emphasis in quantitative methods preferred.
4+ years related work experience with online retail e-commerce business
Thinks strategically; able to turn consumer behavior data into effective strategies that drive results.
In department experience with web trends and Omniture Site Catalyst
Development of metrics, KPI’s, business and enterprise performance measurement.
Outstanding project management and leadership skills, ability to influence cross-functionally in rapidly evolving business environment.
Excellent hands-on database skills.
Extensive experience in advanced data analysis techniques and statistical methods, including data modeling, querying and reporting tools, metrics reporting, prospecting, business intelligence and A/B testing.
Strong background in business intelligence, analytics, and e-commerce.
Proven record helping e-commerce businesses deliver profitable results through advanced analytics.
Excellent understanding of website analytics, metrics and online marketing.
Proven track record of managing multiple projects from start to finish, and ability to effectively juggle multiple projects.
Ability to establish relationships with internal business managers and successfully manage their expectations.
